It seems 2013 was the boost our housing market needed to bring us out of the real estate recession we have found ourselves in since 2006. 2013 has proven to launch an experienced, more reliable and stable market that is ready for more growth!
Below, you’ll find a breakdown of the chart above that marks the success of 2013's home sales in Raleigh NC, alone. The chart goes over the following:
- Total active listings
- New homes that were listed on the market
- Homes that went under contract
- Listings that closed
New homes listed on the market equaled 1,233. This number includes homes that went on the market in December and that hadn’t sold yet as well.
Total active listings include all Raleigh real estate on the market at the end of 2013.
The end of 2013 brought about 227 homes that were under contact or were in pending status.
Listings that closed in 2013 is the most exciting part of this entire chart! 5,389 single family detached homes were sold in Raleigh in 2013! Only 4,394 sold in 2012.
When we look at this year-end recap of the 2013 Raleigh real estate market, we get excited! It gives us something to look forward to in 2014. The predictions are scattered as to whether or not 2014 will be better than 2013, but The Roark Premier Team has hope!
