homeappraisalNorth Hills Raleigh Real Estate Agent: More Appraisal Boosting Tips!

In the past couple posts, our North Hills Raleigh real estate agent has offered a few tips to help you get the most from your home appraisal. As we stated in the previous posts, there are quite a few things that go into your appraisal rating that you might not realize. Things like a spotless home, well kept lawn, and previous home improvements can really make a difference in the way that your home's value is appraised!

Today, we have another tip for you to consider when going through the home selling and appraising process!

Tips | North Hills Raleigh Real Estate Agent

Have Comp Homes on Hand. It's important to make sure your home's value is rated properly. To make sure that happens, it's a good idea to do your own research on comparable homes in the area. Find a home that's very much like your own and weigh the similarities. Also find out the value on that home and make sure you have a printout showing that value.

While this is actually the appraiser’s job, you know your area better than they do. They might not go to the same great lengths that you will to find the best comp home and property in your area.

In addition, many homes are sold by owner. That means that home was never listed on the MLS and the appraiser doesn’t have access to its information or appraisal.
