Adapting Your Home to Its Selling Season Part 3 – Fall

Fall is a great time to sell a home. The weather is cooling down, summer sports are coming to an end and buyers have more time to look for a new home.

Fall Selling Tips | North Raleigh Real Estate

There are several things you can do to get your home ready for the fall selling season. Below, you'll find a few tips:

Just because the grass isn't growing like it does in summer doesn't mean you should neglect the lawn. Keep your grass cut and the leaves off of it. Leaving them there can cause grass to brown in areas.

Outdoor Decor

Take advantage of beautiful pumpkins this time of year and decorate your front porch and lawn. Buyers love seeing homes festive for holidays and seasons. It helps them envision themselves in the home decorating, as well!

Indoor Fall Decor

Get festive with fall colors and decorations that will make your home feel warm and inviting. Set the dining room table for a Thanksgiving dinner.

Days get shorter in the fall and it's likely potential buyers will be looking at your home in the dark. Make sure existing outdoor lighting works great. If you don't have a system yet, consider adding one. Not only will it add ambiance, it'll make buyers feel safer.

When taking photos to list online, be sure to take ones that include the updates for fall! Capture the gorgeous leaves and decor you've set out!
